U9 Select Tournament Update
We met with the Town of Kingsville this morning out on the diamonds and we both agreed that it is in the best interest of the players safety to postpone the 9 am and 12 pm games today and have 3 games running at 3 pm and 6 pm if we can enough sun and a little wind to help dry out the saturated outfields.
We will be meeting with the town at 1 pm today to make a final call on the games today and effectively the whole tournament. After that meeting we will make a final decision and that will be articulated to all coaches as quickly as possible.
We would ask the coaches to speak to their teams regarding alternatives if we cannot get out on the diamonds today. We have floated the option of running the tournament the weekend after Labour Day (Sept 8-10) or Cancelling the Tournament for this year resulting in a full refund to the teams.
